Team
Arnofio is a small team of mining industry professionals specialising in flotation testing and processes.
Our staff draw on over 20 year’s flotation experience in sulphide and non sulphide minerals. In addition, a senior metallurgist conducts all work providing accuracy of results and will identify the best testing methodologies at each stage of the project development.
RACHEL MORGAN-JONES (PRINCIPAL)
Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering honours degree (Mineral Engineering) in 1995 from the University of Leeds in the UK. On graduation, a position with BHP Copper was attained at BHP Minerals’ Centre for Minerals Technology (CMT) in Reno, Nevada. Clients included the Resources and International Business Development units of BHP World Minerals as well as BHP Copper’s Growth and Technology division. Practical metallurgical laboratory experience gained at CMT included leaching, solvent extraction, hydrolysis, flotation, flocculation, Bond’s Work Index, aqueous phase agglomeration and gold diagnostic leaching. Subsequently, a transfer to BHP Copper’s Robinson Operation provided the role of metallurgical engineer with responsibility for the operation’s metallurgical laboratory and technicians and day-day running of the flotation and filtration circuits.
In 1998, Rachel took up a position with Cytec Australia. During this time, laboratory and plant evaluations of new and existing flotation reagents were conducted, along with management of technical projects to qualify products for new applications. The work with Cytec involved extensive travel throughout Australia and Asia and a variety of applications experience in copper/gold, lead/zinc/silver and nickel flotation.
Rachel is now a bench scale flotation specialist consulting to the mining industry in both laboratory and plant operations. This work includes test program development, bench scale flotation testing, advisory services and report writing.
